Bloodstone pickaxes are the fastest and strongest pickaxes in the game. A Gold Pickaxe, Diamond Pickaxe or a Bloodstone Pickaxe are required to mine Diamond. Fighting the demon (lower tier weapons like the common pistol won't be effective).A Diamond Pickaxe is required to mine Bloodstone.
The demon is a resilient enemy capable of taking heavy fire and does the same damage as most zombies. It's seen in hell, and often at times it will taunt the player with a demonic laugh before approaching. It's quite easy to kill with a fully upgraded weapon and because of a bug, the demon pauses for a small moment after receiving damage, allowing it to be permanently locked in place with constant fire. It will spawn in hell or on the surface at random. The demon will walk toward players, but will start running if the player gets too far from it. The demon also struggles to climb hills nearly as fast as zombies, due to its lowered speed.
The exact same information from the Xbox 360 version also applies to the PC (Steam) version (currently 1.9.8.0), although the model of the demon has been massively increased in size from a recent update. (It was also renamed to "Hell Lord", however, the hitbox is still the same as the demon from the Xbox 360 version.) Our fluid dynamics simulator, simulates fire, flammable oil, flowing lava, water, ice, and explosives. These materials flow through the map and interact with each other creating interesting challenges during battle. Imagine ambushing your enemy by blasting open an oil tank next to a fire, and engulfing half the map in flames. The following changes are available in the public beta branch.
